MEMBERSHIP CAN ONLY BE USED AT BALBOA FUN TOURS

A BFT.Member must always be a part of the renting party and holds the responsibility for the equipment as stated in the rental agreement. They also need to have a valid government issued ID at the time of rental to confirm their identity. Memberships cannot be combined, upgraded, transferred or augmented. They remain the same throughout the period of the membership. Membership starts at the day of sign up and will expire exactly the number of days of the duration of the membership.

9 Month memberships will be available for purchase till end of September of 2022
6 Month memberships will be available for purchase till end of December 2022
3 Month memberships will be available for purchase till end of l March 2023
1 Month memberships will be available for purchase till end of April 2023
All memberships will automatically expire May31st 2023 regardless of the duration purchased up to that date.

The names given at time of signup are eligible privileges. If a member brings a friend that wants to rent they will get the 2nd hour free as long as they pay for the first hour of rental. (This applied to Kayaks and Paddle-boards) and does not apply to extended rentals like all day or overnight. Regular rates apply in this case for friends of members.

Kayak and paddle-board rentals

Kayak and paddle-board rentals are limited to 2 hours per day. You always have the option of choosing a kayak for 2 hours, then paddle board for 2 hours but the limit per rental is 2 hours per day. This applies to single kayaks and paddleboards. Double kayaks will have an extra $10 fee per rental if the number of renters exceed the amount of the membership. If a member would like to have a kayak over night or all day you can do this for an extra fee. All day rentals are normally $55 per day for single kayaks $80 for paddleboards and $120 for double kayaks but members will get them for 40 for single kayaks, $60 for paddleboards and $80 for double kayaks. We do not do overnight rentals for Kayaks and Paddleboards for Members. If the rental is not returned within the specified time your card on file will be charged the full cost of any additional day or part thereof at the full rate. All rentals are subject to availability.

Bike Rentals

Bike rentals are limited to one day rental. The day start at 9am when the shop opens and ends at at close end of the same day. All rentals must be back at the pickup location before close on the day of renting. Your card will be charged the full rate of an extra day of rentals are not safely returned before close. This includes any part of the day the rental is taken. All rentals are subject to availability For example: If a member took a bike at 2pm the bike needs to be returned at the shop before close that day. If a member or their companion would like to have the bikes beyond the end of the day. You can pay $10 per bike you will get a lock and you can keep the bikes overnight till 9:30am when we open up the next day. If you come back before we are opened you can lock the bikes up outside the store.

Rental Agreement For Members

Membership Rentals are not valid for holidays, special occasions their corresponding weekends.
A BFT Member must always be a part of the renting party and holds the responsibility for the equipment as stated in the rental agreement they also need to have a valid government issued ID at the time of rental to confirm their identity.

Only the names given at time of signup are eligible for membership privileges. If a member brings a friend that wants to rent they will get the 2nd hour free as long as they pay for the first hour of rental. (This applied to Kayaks and Paddleboards) All day (Opening till Close) Bike rentals will be at half price. This does not include the cost of Locks and Baskets or any additional. Bikes with Attachments or Tandem Bikes are not included in the membership.

Bike Rentals for members

You will be notified what time you should be back. Your card will be charged the full rate of an extra day of rentals are not safely returned before close This includes any part of the day the rental is taken. IF the bike is stolen you will be responsible for the full cost of the bike. This figure will be made known to you at the time of rental. All rentals are subject to availability For example: If a member took a bike at 2pm the bike needs to be returned at the shop before 5pm that day.

Kayak and paddleboard Rentals for members

Kayak and paddleboard rentals are limited to 2 hours per day. You always have the option of choosing a kayak for 2 hours, then paddle board for 2 hours but the limit per rental is 2 hours per day. We do not do all day or overnight rentals for Kayaks and Paddleboards for Members. If the rental is not returned within 2 hours after it is taken your card on file will be charged the full cost of any additional hour or part thereof. All rentals are subject to availability.

Segway Tours for members

For those with the ‘Annual Packages’ Segway tours are included in this and are subject to availability as with our other rentals. You will need to call 72 hours in advance for us to book you on a tour. Tour groups need to be a minimum of 6 passengers. we will give you a few days where there might be a possible tour that you can go on that already has a few members and have space for you and your party. That way if you are a single person or a group of 2 or 4 we can accommodate you also.
